Princess Olive is nearly 5 months old now, and things are starting to happen fast and furious! Lots of firsts, lots of smiles, giggles, fun and games.
Olive has been eating solid food for about a month. At first, she would dutifully eat, but didn't show much interest in it beyond that. Now, she is keenly aware of everything we are eating in the house. One day I was carrying her around and eating a square of milk chocolate. She grabbed my hand and quickly shoved it in her mouth, gumming the chocolate until she had a chocolate mustache and beard. She watches me closely as I prepare her bottles, or get her sweet potatoes or applesauce ready for her. I can see she will be an adventurous eater! Oh, and Grandma Balazs will be relieved to know she loves BUTTER. :)
The other thing she pays a lot of attention to is her feet. She has finally figured out how to get them in her mouth, and rarely misses an opportunity to do so.
Olive's new best friends are Hannah and Lula. Now that she has noticed them, they provide her with endless entertainment. She laughs and giggles and talks to them. For their part, they pretty much ignore her unless she has some yummy food on her face they want to lick off.
